Gadget of the Month - POCKET SCANNER
The WizCom SuperPen is ideal for anyone who has ever looked at a poster for a play, for example, decided to find out about it - and then forgot what they wanted to see by the time they got home. This nifty gadget allows you to scan information from printed material, which you can then download onto your PC. It can also translate from 30 languages. You just scan the poster and the translation automatically appears on the display of the pen.

  •  Scanning and Storing at Ease

It's hard to believe but there are a couple of handy little mobile gadgets that are ace at scanning and storing almost anything and everything you want. These are the WizCom InfoScan and WizCom SuperPen which allow the user to scan and store up to 2,000 pages of printed text and, when wanted, transfer via serial or USB connection to a PC or a notebook computer. The information can also be beamed instantly into a PDA such as Palm or a Pocket PC device. Similar in operation to a highlighter - without physically marking the page - these powerful, handheld tools resemble an ordinary pen, weigh just three ounces and are convenient to carry and use. The InfoScan ships complete with two megabytes integrated flash card. The SuperPen has 30 downloadable language dictionaries and its Built-in Text-to-Speech technology enables users to hear a full line of text or a single word spoken aloud.
